Tonight in historic Ron Herrin Gymnasium it's Military Appreciation Night! Richland County Homefront and RCHS invite veterans and active duty members to attend. Admission will be free for those service members. The Tigers will go head-to-head on the court against the Lawrenceville Indians with JV tip-off at 6pm and Varsity at 7:30pm. Don't forget to wear red, white, and blue as well! Bring your cheers and appreciation to RHG as we root for the Tigers and honor our military personnel!

Olney Central College is offering RCHS seniors the chance to win a 3 credit hour tuition waiver! At the Lady Tiger Basketball Senior Night on February 5 and the Tiger Basketball Senior Night on February 15, OCC will have a drawing for the tuition waiver during each halftime. Be sure to come out for a chance to win that waiver, Class of 2024. What a great senior celebration for our RCHS students!


Richland County Homefront in conjunction with RCHS is hosting a Military Appreciation Night on Friday, February 2nd in Ron Herrin Gymnasium. All veterans and active military will receive free admission. Find time to support not only your Olney Tigers but your area service members also!


ERFAE will be at RCHS on Friday, February 2nd selling cash raffle tickets. Tickets are $50 each with only 500 tickets being sold. If your ticket is drawn, it is returned to the pot for a chance to win again. ERFAE will be selling the tickets by the big paw print in the RCHS Commons during the Tiger's matchup against Lawrenceville. Also, if you purchase a ticket you will be entered in a drawing to win a 2024-2025 Athletic Pass good for all sports! Come cheer on the hometown team and support ERFAE's goal of academic excellence!


After garnering funds to stream Friday night's LIC Tournament 3rd place and championship games, Jack Thomann has donated a portion of his proceeds to One Tiger Nation. GRIT Award winners for 1/22-1/28 are: Girls Basketball - Kelysse Weiler, Cheerleading - Kyra Spieth, Wrestling - Zander Schrader, and Boys Basketball - Ian Winkler. The GRIT Award is awarded to an athlete that demonstrates hustle, teamwork, and dedication. This award isn't necessarily always the highest scorer or top performer, but one that shows drive and passion to make the team better!

The Olney Tigers have plenty of action to catch this week! Monday, Tiger F/S Basketball is on the road to Salem for a 6pm tip-off. Lady Tiger Basketball is also on the road with a matchup against Mattoon with a 6pm tip-off. On Tuesday, the Lady Tigers will host the make-up game with Lawrenceville at 6pm in Ron Herrin Gymnasium. Then on Thursday, the Lady Tigers face off with the Trojans on their Charleston court at 6pm. Friday, Tiger Basketball will also host Lawrenceville this week with game times at 6pm and 7:30pm. Tiger Basketball will then head to Benton on Saturday for a 2pm dual with Mascoutah at the Rich Herrin Classic. Tiger Wrestling will be in Robinson, hitting the mats at 9am in Regional action. Find time and come support the athletes of One Tiger Nation!


RCHS Scholar Bowl's varsity squad will compete in the LIC Tournament in Casey on Saturday, January 27. Come on out to catch these students as they represent OTN in the academic realm!


Tiger Basketball prepares to face off against the Newton Eagles in the LIC Tournament Championship on Friday, January 26. The contest will take place at Newton Community High School with a 7:30pm tipoff time. Olney fans of all ages are encouraged to **WEAR BLACK**. Let's pack the place, black it out, and show how dedicated OTN fans really are!


OTN had a wonderful send off for seniors Emma Wells and Aidan Gomez as they prepare to represent RCHS in the 2024 ILMEA All-State Band. This is Wells' third time being selected and Gomez's first time. The 2024 ILMEA All-State Band festivities will take place in Peoria, IL January 25-27. RCHS is incredibly proud of Emma and Aidan and wish them the best this weekend!

RCHS Student Service is hosting FAFSA Night on Thursday, January 25 from 4pm - 7pm. The meeting will take place in the second floor IMC Computer Lab adjacent to the Library Terrace. Representatives from OCC's Financial Aid Department will be available to answer any questions. Saturday, January 27th from 7am - 11am the RCHS JROTC will be hosting a Pancake Breakfast. The event will take place at the Olney VFW, 205 N. Walnut Street. The cost is $8 per person. Be sure to stop by for a nice, hot breakfast and support these students!


OTN Athletics offers opportunities for fans to cheer on their favorite Tigers this week. Monday's contests between Lady Tiger Basketball and Tiger F/S Basketball against Lawrenceville have been cancelled due to poor weather conditions. On Tuesday, Lady Tiger Basketball head to Vincennes Lincoln with tipoff at 5pm CST. Olney Tiger Wrestling will be on the road to Shelbyville and will take to the mats at 6pm. Tiger Basketball will continue in the LIC Tourney while hitting the court at 6pm in Newton. Thursday evening, Tiger F/S Basketball will host Newton at 6pm. Tiger Basketball will still be in LIC Tourney play on Friday. Continue to check back for game time updates through the week. On Saturday, Lady Tiger Basketball will host Edwards County at home with game time at 1pm. Tiger Wrestling is on the road to Robinson with mat times beginning at 9am. And Tiger Cheerleading heads to Mt. Vernon for sectional competition. Best of luck to these athletes as they represent OTN!
