Summer EBT (aka SUN Bucks) is an Illinois Department of Human Services benefits program that provides families a $120 one-time benefit for each eligible school-aged child. The benefits are intended for the household to buy groceries when school is not in session. Most income-eligible households will receive benefits automatically, but some households will need to apply. Please use the IDHS online screener to see if your child is eligible or if you need to apply: https://abe.illinois.gov/sebtPortal/ebt-screener
S-EBT 2025 applications are due by August 13, 2025. For more information, please visit the IDHS Summer EBT page: https://www.dhs.state.il.us/page.aspx?item=163478.
