Coming Soon! Mark your calendars for May 30th!

The College & Careers class spent time visiting Olney Central College and IECC’s West Richland Center. The students received a crash course in financial and curriculum planning for college from OCC’s Student Services staff: Jodi Schneider, Amanda Nelson, and Stephanie Corley. Curtis Marshal showed the students several of the Career & Technical education programs available through IECC.

Josie Ginder, Briley Kocher, Christian Weber, and Chelsey Mick have all been working in area schools this semester to learn from our fantastic teachers how to teach effectively. At the end of this term, students will have gained six semester hours of college credit.

Lori Kocher, Reading Intervention Instructor, presented to RCHS Future Teachers the importance of identifying and assisting struggling readers. She also brought in several activities that educators could use to help build skills with students with Dyslexia and other reading challenges.

Mariah Livingston is earning dual credit through the RCHS teaching program. She is currently working in Mrs. Lathrop's room at the middle school learning how to design and present lessons. She plans to teach in a high school setting once certified.

Beginner's Construction students learned the importance of fit and finish by building cutting boards in class.

Senior Claire Steber is getting real-world experience working in a classroom for her dual credit class, Introduction to Teaching. She aspires to be an elementary teacher.

Richland County High School is proud to announce the S.T.R.I.P.E.S. award winners for April 2025. The "stripe" for the month is Tiger Strong.
Tiger Strong students are hard workers that do what is asked. They are someone you want in your class, in your program, and on your team. They are the anchors, the cornerstones, the foundation you want to build on. They demonstrate the positive aspects of being a Tiger!
Thank you to Color Your World for sponsoring our shirts this month, and as always, to Mrs. West, Mrs. Billington, Mrs. Kerr, and the RCHS Shirt Shop for making the shirts. This month's shirts are multi-colored for Autism Awareness month.
