
While the seniors are gone, the juniors are playing Monopoly! The rule is no cash - only writing checks and filling out a check register. Fun day for juniors in Mrs. West's resource management class!




Students in Mr. Dunn and Mr. Powell’s Biology I classes began work on their Pillbug Lab to demonstrate the use of the Scientific Method. Wednesday and Thursday they are collecting experimental data on the behaviors and choices made by the pillbugs when they are presented with contrasting micro environments.





OTN celebrated State Qualifiers today! Reese Glover leads the pack. He represented the Tigers by participating in State play for golf. Today, doubles team Evie Potter and Claire Uhl and singles player McKenna Snider head to Chicago to represent Lady Tiger Tennis in State play.

OTN Athletics have opportunities for fans to see the Tigers play at home and on the road this week. Lots of tournament play is ahead of the Tigers. Lady Tiger Tennis looks at sectional and state play, while Lady Tiger Volleyball has tournament play on Saturday. Friday night gives us Tiger Football versus Robinson. This is also Senior Night for our football boys. Find time to root for your Tigers this week!


Olney Tiger Wrestling will be hosting a pork burger or brat sale on Saturday, October 21. The sale will take place at Olney Rural King from 10am - 2pm (or until sold out). For $6, visitors can enjoy a pork burger or brat, bag of chips, and soda. Baked goods will also be available for purchase. Come on out and support OTW!


Congratulations to Mckenna Snider (singles) and Claire Uhl and Evie Potter (doubles) on qualifying for State in Chicago next week! They play Saturday, October 14 at 10am in Olney in the semifinals. They have worked so hard for this! OTN is so proud of them!


James Wyatt Baker, Aidan Gomez, and James Benton are starting their Teacher Prep Placements at RCMS for the Teaching pathway offered at RCHS.

Olney Athletics is moving into some tournament play this week. The Tiger XC Teams head to Terre Haute Tuesday for the LIC Meet. Tiger Volleyball is on the road Thursday and Saturday. Tiger Soccer hosts regional action against Salem on Friday. Lady Tiger Tennis is also hosting sectionals on Friday and Saturday. And Saturday night, OTF is on the road to Casey. Find a time to cheer on your Tigers this week!


Tiger Golf member Reese Glover placed 37th out of 112 golfers at the state tournament today! Congratulations on a great season and for representing OTN so well, Reese!


Lady Tiger Tennis players Evie Potter and Claire Uhl are Conference Doubles Champions and Mckenna Snider took 2nd place in Singles! Congratulations to LTT on some stellar wins!

Tonight was the Boys vs. Staff Volleyball Game after the Lady Tigers Volleyball Game. The 2023 champions are the junior class boys! Congratulations! What a great homecoming week event!


Thank you to Big R for supporting our Homecoming Week! The popcorn they donated was a huge hit at our outdoor movie night!


OTN Athletics are in action this week, both at home and on the road! This week is Homecoming Week at RCHS and OTF will be under the lights on Friday at 7pm going toe-to-toe against Paris. Come on out and cheer on your Olney Tigers!

The Best Buddies Club met today. They participated in a "getting to know you" activity and then were matched with their buddy. Each student now is part of a Buddy Pair!



Riley Harrolle is working as a teacher in training with Ms. Rusk's class at the elementary school. Through the Introduction to Teaching class at RCHS, Reilly is receiving six semester hours of college credit toward her teaching degree.


Amy Frohning, from the Jasper County ROE office, educates RCHS future teachers about the certification and licensure process of being a teacher and a substitute.



Students in Mr. Powell’s biology classes are observing eukaryotic cells in the various stages of cell division as they learn about organism growth and tissue repair.
