FACTS - Facility Advisory Citizen's for Tomorrow's Students

The Richland County Community Unit School District #1 Board of Education authorized the formation of a broad-based committee of community members and staff to accomplish the following:

1)	Develop an understanding of the manner in which district facilities relate to the delivery of curriculum and instruction.
2)	Determine the current and accurate perceptions and priorities of community members regarding a long-range facility plan that reflect a broad base of the community.
3)	Identify steps to be taken regarding implementation of a long-range facility plan.
4)	Develop an ongoing model for school district/community collaboration and communication.

The FACTS Committee held two Community Engagement Sessions in the 2016-2017 school year.  Below are the executive summaries from each session along with the verbatim response documents.  Thank you to all those that attended and we look forward to the next Community Engagement Session this fall after the 2017-2018 school year begins.
